枢机团于3月4日举行首次全体会议，为选举教宗的枢密会议作准备。画面上是枢机们来到保禄六世大厅的场面。出席全体会议的除了参选枢机外，也有过了80岁不参加选举的枢机。当天下午举行第2次全体会议。几天前已经告知枢机团全体成员尚未全部抵达罗马，只有在全体枢机到齐时才能开始枢密会议。
